Nugget #15

Allowing your perceived Negatives to evolve into a Positive Mindset
Praise the Lord, Grace & Peace great people of our “Great God”… JESUS!
As I began to meditate on this Golden Nugget, the Lord dropped in my spirit the value of Allowing your perceived Negatives to evolve into a Positive Mindset. As a Pastor I have experienced, and will continue to believe that many perceived negatives will render positive mindset results. Why?… because it is ordained and executed through the providence of our Lord Jesus Christ. My premise scriptures to provoke further gospel provocation are as follows:
Php 4:8-13 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
When we read these scriptures they present a positive attitude against every negative one. My brothers and sisters the negative attitude, if dominant cancels out the positive. Many of us have so many negative places in our lives that we fail to realize the powerful anointing that Jesus has given us; and hence its impact dissipates to the extent it no longer drives us in a positive direction. But when we are wholly positive, we get the full benefit of the positive impact the Lord is rendering through our experiences to impact others. If we stay negative it negates God total purpose, and will inevitably cancel the expected glorious results He has for us.
As saints we must strive to find the positive in every negative situation, why? …because Jesus always did. The Pharisees criticized Him, complaining that he ate with publicans and sinners, implying that He was like them in character. That was a negative my brothers and sisters, very negative. Did Jesus meet negative with a negative? No, instead He gave the three parables in Luke 15th chapter of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son; hence showing positive presentations of the seeking love of Christ. He came out on the positive side of that negative situation. Jesus always did that. At the Cross He derived a positive out of a perceived negative. The Cross was an occasion to carry our sins, and He turned it into a positive act of redemption for our sin; the Cross was hate, and He turned into a revelation of love; the Cross was man at his worst which flowed from the fall of the first Adam, and God at His redemptive best through the Last Adam (Jesus Christ) through His atoning blood! GOLDEN NUGGET!
This made our Jesus our great Affirmation as Paul states in 2Co 1:19-22 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. For Paul knew about drawing the positive out of the negative! Notice what Paul states in 2Co 4:8-12 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
Paul shows his positive attitude when he also stated in 2Co 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. Yes my brothers and sisters most of us would have said that his life was a constant pageant of trouble, and as a matter of fact it was, but Paul made the trouble into a triumph, the negative into a positive. He rescued out of the heart of every death situation something that contributed to his life and in essence impacts our lives as we read the epistles he wrote.
Let’s look at another situation; Jesus calls His principal disciples, Peter, James, and John, partners in the fishing business. The word of God states specifically that they had toiled all night and had caught nothing. Now notice that Jesus might have said to Himself, “This is the time to get these men…their discouraged about their fishing business. There I’ll capitalized on their disillusionment and get them to follow me when they don’t know which way to turn.” No, He got them to try again, filled their boats so full with fish they began to sink, and then at that high tide of their occupational prosperity Jesus said: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Please notice they immediately left their fishing boats and followed Jesus, they followed Him at their most prosperous moment. This set a pattern showing that faith in Jesus was not just for the down-and-out, the disillusioned, the discouraged, and the negative; but was for the positive, the successful, and the prosperous as well. In essence it proved that all men need Him, and their best was not good enough.
This documented example of a perceived negative resulting into a positive, set a pattern for them to become fisher of Men. If Jesus had said to them after their night of fruitless toil, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men,” they would have said to themselves, “well, I believe we will be about as successful in this fishing for men business as we were last night. We won’t get anything,” But He talked to them about fishing for men when they were not looking at empty boats, but at boats overflowing with fish!
There is no doubt that this set a precedence that there would be positive and overflowing achievements in Jesus name, and it happened! Their faith and confidence were so triumphant that the boats of life launched by this experience allowed them to embark on the sea of new faith in converting souls. Notice these were not negative, nay-saying individuals giving themselves to a negative, nay-saving faith. These were positive men, who had framed a positive outlook by following a positive Christ, which afforded all of them to achieve positive result! GOLDEN NUGGET!
This AFFIRMS that are Faith in Jesus is a YES, not a NO. I am of the mindset that those who are really allowing God to work in their lives are tired of cynicism, defeatism, foolishness, and negativism. Remember, because we are in God our positives are buried within our perceived negative situation, for this is how God molds us and gets all the glory out of our lives! Please continue to stand strong with a positive mindset my brothers and sisters, Jesus knows what he is doing. Just continue to trust His providence, and by doing so it will Allow your perceived Negatives to evolve into a Positive Mindset. Have a “JESUS DAY“
